Can't believe I misspelled it and I can't believe no one pointed it out until now. I'm an idiot. Apologies.

So I guess we're good with Ryan Griffin being the "best" blocking TE on the roster.

Either way I’ll take their rating over 99% of this board.

I like it. We need a TE who can catch.

I don't see these TEs beating out S. Anderson

Pfffft. And also a massive team of scouts and personnel paid to do this over message board gurus. The overreaction on this board has been amusing to watch though. It takes years to truly judge a draft. I havent been on the board long but I am sure Clowny is a bust early on posts were strong for a while...

Only a few here thought Clowney was a bust. Also these so called paid experts are wrong more times than not. Personally I would trust a group of people rather than take the opinion of one who is usually paid to push someone else' agenda. They are wrong every year about many of the players in the draft. There are usually more busts in the top 10 than there are good players.

Love the pick. We've been stocking up on TEs ever since the beginning of the franchise. Akins is simply the next stud TE in the storied history of the Texans' TEs. Fiedorowicz, Griffin, Graham, Owen Daniels (Canton bound), Dreessen, Billy Miller, and lest we forget, the legend himself, 2nd round steal Bennie Joppru. I see limitless potential.

    GOOD DAY

Lance Zerlien said this guy could run a 4.6 at his size

    via ESPN radio (The Bench)

Also said he gets a lot of separation

Remember when the Texans took Tyler Ervin over Devonte Booker, Kenneth Dixon, and Jordan Howard and people were making the same arguments about trusting the pros over a bunch of armchair GM's?

    Good times.

This is a similar "hunch" pick on a specialist. Sooner or later, I guess, one of these hunches is bound to pay off.

I voted no because I wanted them to draft another OL here.

I actually like the Akins pick. He's better than any TE on the roster.

Lengel, if healthy will be the blocking TE.

Don’t make me use the search feature, key words “Clowney” and “Bust”...

    Wooops, too late ;)

Drafting is and always has been an inexact science. Its why mock drafts are completely worthless and draft grades to boot. Hind sight is always 20/20z
