Insurance actuaries, insurance agents, underwriters, insurance company support staff, insurance coordinators at employers, insurance advocates, sales reps, etc.
if it's so misleading why did she just come out and say it's not true? These are the same questions that will be asked if she gets the nomination.
Those industries will not be wiped out there are other things those people insure besides health. Also private insurance will not be wiped out as an industry totally. Some of those people will get jobs in government or the company that the government contra with. You made some very logical points. This is not one of them.
Like I said...Democratic position is jobs that aren't THEIR jobs can just disappear and who cares go get another career. 57 year old insurance underwriter can't go get a new job.
I was limiting to health. You vastly underrate the number of people in that industry that are tied directly to health insurance. Underwriters, actuaries, sales people who do nothing but health insurance who would see their jobs eliminated. The average age in the field is also 40+, so switching careers is extremely difficult. But I get it, "eff those guys" like Reeko said.
[Premium Post] I did not see a President on that stage last night. Delaney and maybe Steve Bullock were the sober ones, the others were just fantasizing about impractical ultra-left wing ideas. That's what's going to get Trump re-elected. GOOD DAY
Even if you were those jobs are not just disappearing. There will be government jobs and some of those same companies will be contracted by the government. Also there will still be private insurance.
Easier for him to find new job than a factory worker or a department store clerk. What was the word, evolve?
The existence of private insurance is part of the debate on that stage. Bernie's proposal is eliminating all of those jobs.
When you are a Republican, the Democratic candidates telling the other Democratic candidates to move to the right are the ones that look good. My ideal candidate is probably a far right Democrat right now but one that is willing to be super bold on climate. But I'm a lifelong Republican so I don't really represent the primary voting base.
On a really superficial note, does anyone else get really bothered by speech patterns? It has ZERO bearing on the presidency, but specifically with Beto and Bullock, their speech patterns drive me absolutely bonkers and I can't get past it,
Bullock talks like a used care salesman. I was waiting for him to slap the hood of his 2020 campaign and ask the American people if they wanted to take that bad boy for a spin.
Because she screwed up/couldn't believe someone who didn't understand would still harp on it/who knows. She has been pretty detailed in how she will accomplish her proposals and from where the money will come. It is important to know that under healthcare plans that raise taxes on the middle class, the middle class still ends up saving more of their paycheck. They won't have to pay for insurance.
