I knew you could buy off someone in a civil lawsuit, but can you really this openly do it in a criminal allegation? I'm sure people do it behind the scenes, but to openly tell the court you're going to pay the victim to make the charges go away?

I like both of these teams a lot (Rams too), but the Niners will take this one because the gap between Purdy and Darnold is huge. Sam Darnold cannot be trusted in big games. One big thing to his advantage today is the 49ers defense is pathetic and won't be able to make him uncomfortable.
After that first drive, I repeat: Sam Darnold ain't the guy. Two dumb plays cost the Seahawks 7 points.
If the Seahawks defense brings this kind of effort for 3 more games, they might win the Super Bowl despite Sam Darnold. I don't know if any other team can do what they did tonight.
