And? Did you watch the game? He played bad ass, one of the picks was on the receiver and the other was a bad throw that he shouldn’t have made. But he made a helluva play under pressure where he was a bit behind. He made plays against an SEC team that only a few QBs can make
I’m not a big Maye fan, but comments like this just to stir up certain individuals is why these threads always devolve. That being said, if Maye or Williams crumbles and one of these other random qb’s steps up, it will really help my stance on not waiting for the next shiny thing every draft.
There's a small chance Shadeur Sanders, Bo Nix, JJ McCarthy ,Spencer Rattler, or Quinn Ewers could be QB1 by time the draft rolls around. The draft cycle is very fickle. And that's why you don't wait. The only argument for waiting is that there are a ton of QB prospects this year, but even still, there may be 3 or 4 first rounders at the end of the day - just like there were this year...
Shedeur was sensational, he was super accurate and made some really big plays. Dylan Edwards their RB has a crazy 2nd gear. However, Travis Hunter WR/DB looks like a star in the making.
I certainly like him more than Stroud. Imagine if they had built the team out and added one of, Maye, Sanders, McCarthy. They would've been so much better off waiting on a QB
-Caleb Williams -Drake Maye -Michael Penix Jr. -Shadeur Sanders -Jordan Travis -Joe Milton -JJ McCarthy -Jalen Milroe -Quinn Ewers -Sam Hartman -Bo Nix -Drew Allar -Spencer Rattler -Conner Weigman -KJ Jefferson
This comes down to, do you think Williams, Maye, Sanders, McCarthy or Nix is as good or better than Stroud. If you think they are better, which I do think this, then you build the team out and draft one of these 2924 QB's. If not you do what Hannah did. Gotta fill those seats.
It seems like so much changes with the scouting of these kids within a year's time, that that is hard to predict. This, it's smart to go with the current kid you've evaluated, if you like them. What if you think Arch Manning is better than three of those options?
Honestly, if we're going to nitpick the interceptions, one of his TDs was a terrible decision (and not a great throw) that was an answered prayer. I don't have an opinion, just wanted to point that out.
We shall see. 1 thing is for sure. We will all be looking to see who is available at our Cleveland pick and our pick to Arizona to see who we could have gotten. Can’t wait for February/March when all the draft assessments are starting
With all that said 3 qbs still top 4.. Regardless of what year it is if a team need a qb for the most part there taking them.
The second one? That was a hell of a play, single coverage under heavy pressure. Pick or TD you take that throw and play
Felt like he just faded out of the pocket and threw up a prayer. I feel like most QBs could have made that throw. Though, I know they were praising him on the broadcast for it, so maybe I'm wrong.
