Alright we all associate these cars with a certain group of people when we see it on the road...so spit out yours. Altimas with paper plates. Trucks with only the front end lifted. Teslas with custom electricity/gas related plates. cadillacs with rims sticking out. subarus with stickers.
Jeep Any of Cadillac's sport cars SUPER duty trucks (stupid name) Chrysler 300 Charger/Challenger Discovery Land Rover
Old guy in Corvette with baseball cap that says Trump, Corvette or the branch of military they were part of Thug driving his old lady's shitty compact car Skinny strung out white guy with no shirt on riding a bike in the middle of the day Beat to hell compact car driven by teenage dork with tons of anime stickers on it Regular truck with Texas or USA flag on bottom left of rear window Blue FJ Cruiser driven by the coolest person in the history of the universe Insanely over the top customized Jeep with ducks on dash Lexus or Mercedes parked in front of shitty house in the bad part of town Huge SUV with bedazzled stickers on it driven by potato-shaped Karen Sea of white domestic trucks (individually owned) in parking lot of blue-collar worksite Plain Buick driven by bumpkin meth-head
I associate cars being driven on a road of some kind with human beings, unless they are being driven badly. If they are being driven badly, they are being driven by soulless aliens from another planet bent on destroying our civilization.
Dirty countrified truck, usually beat up, lifted, with some sort of welded iron accessories and anti-Biden, pro-gun and anti-whatever else stickers on it. Minivans driven by stressed-out women in their 30s-40s white-knuckle gripping their steering wheels at 11 and 1 o'clock driving with almost no traffic around them. Nice Mercedes SUVs or cars going 10mph under the speed limit driven by nice looking ladies who look like they don't have a care in the world and haven't worked a day in their lives.
38 stickers on the back that say stuff like : Patagonia, Save Joshua Tree, Bernie 2016, Sierra Navada, Coexist, Who Adopted Who.
Not all of them, but probably every 2 or 3 days I run into a Tesla driver going 3 mph below the speed limit in the far left lane on the interstate, 7 cars piled up behind them bumper to bumper, nobody in front of them for a mile, either oblivious, or disinterested. Guessing its the "autopilot", but my general impression of Tesla drivers is that a significant fraction seem self-absorbed and entitled.
I try to stay away from any Nissan models or Jeep (renegade, cherokee) especially older models without plates. These people have nothing to lose based on the way they are driving.
In the early days, you had AM only radios: Then there was AM/FM: Cool people with money in the 70s could listen to 8 tracks in their cars: Then 8 track's little cousin came along: But then, car stereos became today's catalytic converter, so we had to start taking our stereos 8nto the movies or mall with us. Note the cool handle handle for carrying (cool story: my cousin had one of these and took it out of his car when he had to go into the U-Totem to buy smokes and the latest issue of Hustler. He spends his last few bucks. In walks a guy, holds the store up. He asks for my cousins wallet, which is now empty. So he takes my cousins smokes, Hustler AND pull out stereo. TRUE STORY) So it was annoying carrying around a 6 lb car stereo. Then came this that you could stick in your main squeezes purse. Sucked though when she went home with a friend and you were left with no tunes the rest of the night because you forgot she was stowing it for you: Along come CD car stereos: You could take these with you too: And then there were stereos that played cassettes AND CDs: If you had money, you could even buy a CD changer for your trunk. (Another cool story: I was once on a long road trip with a cousin (same one) and he was driving my uncles car and he had a CD changer in trunk but it only held 6. We didn't want to stop to keep changing CDs so my fat ass would just crawl into the back seat, fold it down, and put in fresh CDs when needed.) Eventually, they came out with stereos that you could plug your Zune into: Hard to believe buts it's been almost 20 years since car stereos with Sirius XM capabilities debuted: Then car stereos came along that could play DVDs, especially inappropriate ones (RIP Eddie Griffin): Not too long ago, our phones became our stereos; Nowadays, no buttons, knobs, cassettes, 8 tracks or CDs. All touch screen:
