Things aren't completely final yet, but there's a lot of discussion popping up in the election day thread about what the outcome means, where do we go from here, how parties need to realign, exit polls/crosstabs, etc. Figured this was needed to keep things a little cleaner.
All presidential candidates should be required to: 1) Disclose their tax returns for past 10+ years 2) In addition, disclose their current assets and liabilities 3) Go through a full psychiatric evaluation 4) Pass GED If you cant pass the above, you should not even be able to sniff the candidacy. I assume he wants to burn the GOP that abandoned him but will simultaneously face pressure to behave himself, to ensure the GOP gets more Senate seats. He should drop that Platinum Plan, bible in hand, and peace out.
They legitimately think he's the nominee in 2024. He will not go away quietly. Might even become, ugh, more annoying. He will still hold rallies and tweet like he's never tweeted before. I think he buys a major stake in OANN and rebrands it. Baring a jail sentence, he'll plan to run in 4 years, starting his campaign likely the moment this election is certified. I wouldn't be surprised to see him hold a rally late in the day on Jan 20th.
Call a new constitutional convention, let the red states go their separate ways with an open border if we can't agree.
Can he? Serious question. It is in the interest of the country to monitor the lives of former presidents.
