Every year they are hyped up and every year they fall well short of expectations

I do not know why the media is fascinated by this team but they are

I think the media is collectively embarrassed by the ridiculous MVP award given to westbrick. Hell, if he deserved the MVP for simply averaging a triple double that year - which was the criteria that most who voted for him cited (see that idiot broussard) - then why isn't he a candidate every year for doing the same thing?

They want westbrick to succeed so they can crow about his heart and how tough he plays and how he never backs down and blah blah blah... They are desperately trying to find a silver lining to this crapshow of a team but will never call out the elephant in the room.

Talk about being on the wrong side of history.

OKC is always overhyped because they have star power and their defense can be quite good...they have a high ceiling

however, Russ plays a dumb brand of basketball...Russ is a garbage shooter with elite shooter confidence...his regression in free throw shooting is astounding tho, dude barely has a higher free throw percentage than Capela now

Presti should be ashamed of himself for building such a bad shooting team in today’s NBA...watch your head if you’re sitting courtside at an OKC game because them bricks be flying

OKC has a stupidly high payroll to be a 1st round exit, and they got 4 more years of Russ making over 40 mil/yr...lmao

I’ll lose it if OKC loses to Lakers without LeBron :D

It's confirmed that the NBA wants to ensure a Warriors/OKC match up in the first round. Only way to keep OKC losing is to make sure Westbrook plays. The NBA is making sure to look the other way on the Warriors antics against the refs. Only remaining item is to fix a couple of games to ensure Denver loses and fix a couple of games to make sure the Spurs win.

Oh i see, actually didn't know they did so well against OKC, but i still think in a playoff series Thunder have a better chance to beat the Nuggets (first playoffs for those young guys) than they have to beat the Warriors or us.

Playoff experience doesn't seem to matter to the Thunder. Look at what rookie Donovan Mitchell and the other youngins on the Jazz did to them last year.

Good point, but i'm pretty confident that if OKC had the chance to pick their opponent between GS, Hou and Denver, they would pick Denver.

Watch House against the Kings tonight and you will know I am right.

House has barely scratched the surface of his unlimited potential.

OKC has sucked for a couple months, but on balance have been appreciably better than the Spurs and Clippers. They also have easily the best player in PG13 and another all-star level guy in Westbrook. Would much rather have the Rockets avoid them (and the Jazz) in the first round.

The Rockets have clinched a better record than Paul George, Russell Westbrook and the OKC Thunder this season.

ESPN's The Jump is celebrating Russ for his 20-20-20 game in honor of a gang. I understand the significance of his friend Nipsy Hussle dying, but to mention the significance to the gang in a celebratory fashion is weird..
