That's not true...if he tore his ACL on the first day of training camp, he'd be getting his money. Hopkins did it best...missed one day to make a point and showed up the following day. What Brown is doing is just hurting himself...and his team.
If anything he's proven that he's not the type of player that you want to give more guaranteed money to given that it's pretty clear he doesn't really care about the quality of work he does. He can be one of the highest paid Tackles in the NFL with 2 years left on his deal and he'll still hold out all preseason over a contract dispute even if it is very likely to negatively impact his performance on the field. He simply doesn't care....and a guy who is only in it for the paycheck that is gonna be 32 this week going into his 10th NFL season isn't a guy who I'd want to have to count on to remain at a high level of play for any period of time whatsoever. He's obviously not willing to bet on himself, so why should anyone else want to?
