An interesting look into what went into smoothing things out between the Clinton and Sanders camp going into the convention. A credit to Sanders that he did end up pushing Clinton and the Democratic platform. Also a good insight into how Clinton works with trying to resolve things behind closed doors. She again shows that she is a pretty good negotiator who also knows how to work with adversaries.

I would be curious to see what type of behind the scenes work was done by Trump and his camp with others in the Republican party leading up to the convention. Considering how many how many of them sat and with Ted Cruz not endorsing it doesn't look like Trump is that good of a negotiator.

Clinton demonstrates what competence looks like.

Trump on the other hand... might as well invite Americ's enemies to attack the homeland.... (hint: he already did.)

Sure, it's called the "ground game": data-drive, labor-intensive, voter turnout operation. Both parties know its importance. Trump, apparently, hasn't invested much in it.
