@mig0s is fangirling so hard Truth is we couldn't get rid of Lin without having to send away assets. Couldn't give him away for free
Yes thank goodness we got a pick for asik, since we had to use one to dump dead weight Lin, then proceeded to hit up the wcf while Lin and the lakers..
Wasn't a bad move. You still get fangirls like @mig0s to fill up the stands and watch their pride and joy while being able to suck and tank for better draft picks and on top of all of it you get a first rounder just for taking out the trash. In before Lin fans claim racism
Haha yup. We had to give up a pick just so that the Lakers would take Airemy's sorry scrub ass. And just after a season, they dumped him, just as I predicted they would and kept the pick. It wasn't the scrub Airemy they wanted, just the pick. Nothing screams scrub than having to offload an asset just so you can get rid of the guy, which is what we had to do. It was worth it though. We finally got rid of him. And now look at him. He is rotting on the worst team in the league and the Lakers dumped a pg right on his ass.... Lulz
Yup, that poison pill contract structure definitely made it hard to justify keeping Lin for that 3rd year, especially with the team focused on building around Harden. Would have been much easier to move if he had a contract around $5-6M/year that year. That said, unlikely that Morey trades him that year if his contract was in that range.
So you would disagree with the statement "Lin was traded for Chris Bosh" because that's what your doppelgänger is stating
Asik had a poison pill contract and we got a pick from the Pelicans in trade. Airemy had a poison pill contract and we had to give up a pick to dump his sorry ass. lulz... Airemy Lin is a scrub which is why he is rotting on the worst team in the league and no one wants to trade for him.
I don't have a doppelgänger. But yes, Lin was not traded for Chris Bosh. He was traded to make room for Chris Bosh, but that didn't work out.
The Nets are going to try to trade lin this summer so they can go with Russell as their starting PG. The rumors are Lin to the Pelicans for Asik since they need another big.
Doubtful given the system the Nets run. They want combo guards, and they are looking for Lin and Russell to play together...and at least one of them will be on the court at any given time. And Asik, as much as I loved him with the Rockets, is exactly the wrong type of C to play in the Nets' motion offense...they need a C who can shoot the 3, who can pass, and who is willing to run.
Lin Only fans love Lin so much that they join team sites where Lin does not play for so they can tell team fans that they think Lin is always good and never makes any mistakes and that Lin is better than everybody on earth. They are basically the biggest sports trolls. It's rare that spurs or Utah jazz fans do this us. But Lin fans idolize him so much because of race or religious affiliation that it's about as crazy as Isis
