They should play Austrailian rules football instead. They'd be better at it.

The NL West just doesn't like each other, apparently.

Benches cleared during the Padres-Giants game. No punches were thrown, but they spent a few minutes mean muggin' each other yesterday afternoon.

Madison Bumgarner throws right at Jesus Guzman's hip. Guzman takes offense, and the benches clear. Rather uneventful; just a mass of humans moving towards the mound.

    <object width="400" height="254"><param name="movie" value="undefined/shared/flash/video/share/ObjectEmbedFrame.swf?content_id=28163709&width=400&height=254&property=mlb" /><param name="allowFullScreen" value="true" /><param name="allowscriptaccess" value="always" /><param name="scale" value="noscale" /><param name="salign" value="tl" /><embed src="undefined/shared/flash/video/share/ObjectEmbedFrame.swf?content_id=28163709&width=400&height=254&property=mlb" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" allowscriptaccess="never" allowfullscreen="true" width="400" height="254" scale="noscale" salign ="tl" /></object>

That was in response to a 2-run homer that Guzman hit in the 8th during Tuesday's game. Fast forward to :44 to see what ticked off the Giants.

[LOL] Brian Cashman tells Alex Rodriguez to 'Shut the **** up.'

NEW YORK -- Livid over Alex Rodriguez's decision to tweet an update on his rehab process, Yankees general manager Brian Cashman had a message for the third baseman.

"You know what, when the Yankees want to announce something, [we will]," Cashman told ESPN New York. "Alex should just shut the f--- up. That's it. I'm going to call Alex now."

Rodriguez tweeted Tuesday that he has been cleared to play in rehab games. Rodriguez's comments seemed to contradict what Cashman told ESPN New York's Wallace Matthews on Monday.

"Visit from Dr. [Bryan] Kelly over the weekend, who gave me the best news - the green light to play games again!" Rodriguez tweeted.

On Monday, Cashman shot down a report that Rodriguez had been given the go-ahead to play in games.

"He has not been cleared by our doctors to play in rehab games yet," he said. "He's getting closer. There's no doubt about it. But we don't have a date for him to start playing games yet. It could be July 1. It could also be July 5, or maybe June 25."

Cashman explained that Dr. Kelly had no jurisdiction over Rodriguez's rehab once the third baseman left New York to go to Tampa. Dr. Kelly had been approved by the team to perform the surgery and oversee Rodriguez's recovery in New York.

Cashman ended up emailing Rodriguez and did not get an immediate response.

    Haha watch it!

But for real, Pirates fans are very wary of the next Jerry Meals moment that triggers the downfall. Similar to the way any Rockets fan felt anytime they heard Yao or T-Mac described as "healthy".

Maybe one of these days we'll stop fearing the worst. A winning season would certainly help! :)

It is sad how bad the Astros have been the past few years , that people in Houston are not probably not paying much attention to Chris Davis, Miggy, Max Scherer (Sp?), Goldsmith with the D-backs, Harvey with Mets.

or the fact that Cabrera just may end up being the first player in major league history to have two Triple Crown seasons in a row.

what's funny is that Miggy is batting better this year than last and might not win the Triple Crown thanks to Davis

Amazingly, Chris Davis has basically been just as good. Miggy is better all-around, while Davis has had more power.

Between Davis and Goldy, those are two nice pro prospects just down the road on 35 from each other.

Oakland A's amaze me with their team , great pitching giving them wins. About to sweep the Pirates @ Pitt. Last year the A's won the division , this year they seem better than last last year.
