http://espn.go.com/blog/statsinfo/post/_/id/52442/sec-rules-stats-info-conference-ranks SEC BIAS the proof is in the pudding
I bet it was Iowa State that pushed them over the top on that ESPN stat. They're something special going on in Ames this year. sec bias
or WAY overrated and overranked South Carolina and Georgia making it closer than it should be SEC Bias doesnt have me fooled the computers are RIGHT
Kansas is the only bad football team in the Big 12.. but they have a dominant basketball team Big 12 still wins
Yup bad call. Not as bad based on the game scenario, but the kickoff with the magic football that changed course in mid-air to go out of bounds costing the Horns 22 yards was horrendous as well.
I think they did recover....can't really remember if the ball popped out and someone else had it, or if the RB recovered it.
OKState came out of a pile with it, but it seemed like that was long after the whistle and TD call, so I don't think there was a real clear recovery to give the ball to OSU. It would probably have been 3rd and a few inches for Texas.
Well... <blockquote class="twitter-tweet"><p>OFFICIAL: Reports that the Big 12 acknowledged a blown call and issued an apology to Oklahoma State are inaccurate.</p>— Big 12 Conference (@Big12Conference) <a href="https://twitter.com/Big12Conference/status/253598579611013120" data-datetime="2012-10-03T20:53:07+00:00">October 3, 2012</a></blockquote> <script src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script>
According to XM College Sports Today with Mark Packer and Eddie George, the rules state that if a ball is fumbled not the end zone and it cannot be determined who recovered it, it is a touchback similar to when the ball is fumbled out the back of the end zone. If this is true, OSU got jobbed.
I'm sorry but OSU didn't get jobbed. Texas had a few calls go against them too. It doesn't just work that way. I'd say after that last play, it evened out.
