And I'm pointing out how it only happens when SEC teams play OOC competitions.

Oregon also allowed 38 to USC and WVU let Syracuse roll up 49 pts. Says more about those teams than the SEC offense.

Wonder how many of those were points off of turnovers.

    ^ points are points

exactly. you have to have a complete team if you're going up against bama or lsu.

all o and little d will come back to bite you. i'm sure there are teams out there that could put yards or points on lsu/bama but could they stop their run game and dominate the line of scrimmage like both these teams? let's not just focus on 1 side of the ball. :)

Why did LSU not bench Jefferson? He was horrible. I can't believe they stuck with him the entire game. I can't remember seeing a QB look so bad. He couldn't even throw a screen pass to a man a few yards in front of him.

Not when you're specifically talking about offense.

202 team rushing yards per game is pretty good.

The counterpoints to that would be 1) these games are earlier in the year typically 2) they are opponents that the team is not that familiar with

I'm mildly surprised at how much people hated the game - without a vested interest I watched it end to end. I was interested to see if LSU was going to storm back (early), then if Bama could pull off the upset (midway), then if Bama could really pitch the shut out (late).

The only thing I couldn't handle was Musburger, but turning the volume all the way down to 4 took care of that.

Maybe I just enjoyed seeing the goliaths get depantsed.

He was another level of terrible. And completely lost focus and poise as the game went on. Watching his body language and facial expressions, I'm halfway surprised that there haven't been reports of him getting into a fight in the locker room.

Not surprised Lee was so upset he didn't get a shot in the second half. It was completely within reach.

Jefferson looked like he threw the game.

Considering Bama and LSU split the season series and were gifted a rematch purely by their own overblown SEC nut-fluffing media megahype, you'd think they'd have a little more class and not be insufferable jagoffs about winning. If there were ever a national champion that needed to take their trophy and shut up, it's this one.

...but being a grumpy indignant anti-sec douche is cool? Cool.

They won the National Championship last night. **** off and deal with it.

    Not anti-SEC. Anti-annoying sore winners.

Seriously, given the circumstances under which Bama won, have some freaking humility.
