Frank Gore, Braylon Edwards, Michael Crabtree, Vernon Davis... If Alex Smith can't have success with that group, then he needs to just leave the NFL forever.
Hes just a stopgap until Colin Kaepernick is ready, I doubt Smith ends the season as the 49ers starter.
Yeah I don't think there's any doubt he's just there because Kaepernick is too young... but he should still have success with those guys on his offense.

Mathews is trash no matter what he weighs. He just looks like trash out there. Bowling ball & Sproles was a much scarier duo.

After Mathews said he was afraid the Texans were gonna take him, and how relieved he was when the Chargers did, he was pretty much dead to me. Yeah, I bet being a part of one of the most prolific rushing attacks in the league last year would have sucked......
