I believe Morey would S&T Lowry along with Ariza for Iggy.

Iggy would be a significant upgrade over Ariza imo.

I think the trade makes sense for both teams.

For HOU, Iggy will fit in because he doesn't have to be the primary scorer and can utilize his strengths as a playmaker. His contract is cumbersome but that is the price to pay for talent. Willie would be a decent backup for Martin.

For PHI, Ariza provides a better "fit" to Turner's style at a fraction of the price. Taylor is Willie Green with upside and Jeffries provides defense in the front court. The cash and 2012 pick are extra incentives as well.

    IMHO, a Ariza + Taylor + Jeffries + Cash + NY 2012 pick
    for
    Iggy + Green

Imho seems like a fair deal. however, it will depend on the midseason status of whether hou thinks iggy will push them over the top (barring Yao is healthy) and whether Philly thinks Iggy is not a good fit with Turner.

I laughed when I saw this:
True but I think Iguodala is the more explosive player while Ariza is the better outside shooter.

If Iggy's the worse of the two at three pointers we might want to rethink this.

Iggy is not worth his contract IMO, so his has negative value in my book..

But "If" we deal for him than I'm looking to receive Thaddeus Young part of the package in return for taking on Iggy's bloated contract!

    Rockets Receive:
    Andre Iguodala
    Thaddeus Young

    Philly Receives:
    Trevor Ariza
    Shane Battier
    Johnson/Harris(non-guaranteed)

    Rockets 2010/11 roster
    Brooks / Lowry
    Martin/ Budinger / Taylor
    Iggy/ Young
    Scola/ Patterson / Jeffries
    Yao/ Hill/ Hayes / Andersen

My lord. That had to have been the Rockets offer to Philly, not Philly's offer to Houston.
