Why would the Bobcats do this trade? Ray Felton is apparentley close to signing with the Knicks and they get rid of Augustine? They also don't need Scola because they just re-upped Tyrus Thomas for 40M. How bout Battier + Brooks + Jeffries + Anderson for Wallace + Chandler Sign a back up point guard like Shannon Brown or Luke Ridnour and have Lowry run the team. Rockets get an upgrade at the small foward spot and find that back up center just in case Yao goes down. Bobcats do it because they get a Ray Felton replacement in Aaron Brooks and also get some expiring contracts in return. Also Battier's leadership is what they need come playoff time. Rockets lineup: Lowry/Ridnour Martin/Budinger/Taylor Wallace/Ariza Scola/Patterson Yao/Chandler/Hill/Hayes

I think if I could plug one guy thats semi-feasible in right now it would be to pursue Josh Smith. You start him at the 3 and let him play some 4 later in the game depending on matchups. He is just better than Trevor is about all aspects of the game. As well, the shot blocking he would bring would help Scola out a lot. Hill+Jeffries+Ariza+2012 first round pick for Smith? I am not sure of his trade value.. Yao/Guy Scola/Patterson Smith/Battier Martin/Taylor Brooks/Lowry I just feel Josh Smith is a unique fit both because of what we do and what we need.
Ariza Jeffries Hill Knicks Pick for Granger Foster Brooks/Lowry Martin/Bud/Taylor Granger/Battier Scola/Patterson Yao/Foster/Hayes/Andersen Yes. Please.
Nash + G.Hill → Brooks + J.Hill + Jeffries + 2012 NY 1R pick + $3M Brooks, Dragic J-Rich (expiring), Barbosa Jeffries, Clark, Griffin (non-guaranteed) Frye, Warrick, Lawal Lopez, J.Hill, Jones (non-guaranteed) Ibaka (OKC under the cap) → Battier + 2012 HOU 1R pick Westbrook, Maynor Harden, Thabo, Weaver Durant, Battier, MoPete, Cook Green, Collison, White Krstic, Aldrich, Mullens Ibaka (OKC under the cap) → Battier + 2012 HOU 1R pick Sign Paddy Mills to the minimum Nash, Lowry, Mills Martin, Budinger, Taylor Ariza, G.Hill Scola, Patterson, Andersen Ibaka, Yao, Hayes
Gerald Wallace Chandler for Hill Budinger Jeffries Battier Anderson Throw in a pick if you have to, sign Scola and Lowry
Simple trade... Shane Battier Jared Jeffries for Tyson Chandler ... I think this simple trade could make a big difference for our ball club going forward. Brooks | Lowry Martin | Taylor Ariza | Budinger Scola | Patterson Yao | Chandler | Hill --RB
Brooks+Jeffries+Battier+Andersen+Hill+2012 and 2014 first rounders for Chris Paul and Emeka Okafor Yao/Okafor/Hayes Scola/Patterson/Hayes Battier/Budinger Martin/Taylor Paul/Lowry Later the CPaul to PPat pick and roll is dubbed anal rape by the other teams in the league.
According to Brian Windhorst of the Cleveland Plain Dealer, the Cavs are interested in Kyle Lowry. http://www.cleveland.com/cavs/index.ssf/2010/07/cleveland_cavaliers_may_be_rea.html How bout a sign and trade Kyle Lowry for Varejeo + Gibson? Brooks/Gibson Martin/Budinger Ariza/Battier Scola/Varejeo/Patterson Yao/Hill Pretty solid lineup if you ask me. Andy is a perfect fit for this team and is a Scola type of player in that he is hustle and grit. He also gets to the line alot because he flops. Booby Gibson just adds another three point shooter next to Yao.
Getting Melo will land us CP3 http://twitter.com/realjaywilliams "Chris Paul talking about teaming up with Melo ti battle the trio down south. Talkin a lot of ****. I love it." Jay Williams tweeted at Melo's wedding that Chris Paul and Melo have already begun talking about teaming up in the near future after what transpired in Miami. Only problem is, Melo has already expressed a strong desire to go to NY next year as a FA. If we could somehow convince Melo to come here, maybe offer a good SnT package to Denver, Melo can convince Paul to join him in Houston.
I'm afraid we might have to take Melo as a renter and hope he pushes us over the top to a title. Otherwise I think it's hard to see him staying but who knows maybe if we gambled he would stay anyway
Carmelo's hometown is Brooklyn. The Nets will be moving to Brooklyn in 2 years. Brooklyn will welcome the prodigal son with open arms. Carmelo has never shown an interest in Houston. If Paul teams with him, it will be in Brooklyn. Favors(4), Lopez(5), Carmelo(3), Paul(1) is an awesome lineup.
Melo doesn't have much of an interest in coming to Houston. If and when he and Paul team up, it won't be in Houston
That's probably the case, but Morey can sell Houston to Melo to at least give it a shot. We have one of the best GMs in the league that can put legit talent and depth around him.
