I heard on 610 that they are already making a movie that has something to do with the Sox. That's why Jimmy Fallon was on the field right after the win with his tongue down some chick's throat and cameras all around, it's supposedly the last scene in a movie.
It was Drew Barrymore. The movie is Fever Pitch, directed by the Farrelly Brothers of Dumb and Dumber fame. The movie is based on a great book by Nick Hornby (High Fidelity, About a Boy) and chronicles his obsession with the football team Arsenal (obviously, it has been changed to the Red Sox for the new movie) and how that obsession has led to various screwups in his life, especially relationship-wise. Fever Pitch has already been adapted for the screen once, a few years ago starring Colin Firth. It was a decent movie, though the book is much better. I'm very interested in seeing this one, however.
