I watch the old tyson fights on classic. He was a beast. Not only was he strong and fast he had incredible skill in the way he fought. I think if he was focused and had cus d'amato been around a little longer we might have seen a better tyson. The tyson after the douglas fight just wasn't the same guy.
Good post and repped. As a Tyson fan, I didn't bring up this dubious memory to dump salt on an open wound. It's just too significant of an achievement/monumental upset to just let the date pass without pointing it out. Part of me will always wonder what if Tyson was 6'3" or so with a lengthier reach. He as a beast, no doubt, but he always seemed to struggle against the taller and longer fighters. Hell, for this reason alone he never really stood a chance against Lennox Lewis.
