Minnesota is “West” too. Wiggins or Jimmy B involved? Wiggins and his new contract can also destroy a team if he doesn’t develop, or be a solid piece of a good foundation.
I don't see how the Spurs would take on Wiggins...i actually don't see how anyone outside of maybe the Knicks would take Wiggins with that contract, it's 30M for 5 years...really, 30M for 5 years.
So I was creeping on cod's profile page and noticed he liked this post today! So maybe clutch citizen is on to something... We're getting Giannis and Kawhi, i'm fine with that Jokes aside, Harris and Ellington might be the names that make more sense for us, Ellington might be available for what will remain of our MLE, not sure how we would be able to get Harris without losing Gordon, and i don't think/i'm not sure it's worth it.
Tobias would be amazing, 25 years old, shot at 40% from 3 last year, could play pf and sf...don't know about his defense though.
Have shooters on the court with Chris and James dishing out dimes all game long. Yeah, that's the way to go IMO. I had my fingers crossed for Lebron, but now that that's not happening I'd be on board with improving the team we had last year. Remove Ryno and add a few more pieces to what we had. Sign Capela and Ariza. Get LMM and GG back. Add Ellington and Harris. Trade Ryno. We'd have to get rid of some key pieces and picks, but Morey can make it happen.
His defense is uhm, decent i would say, not good, still better than Anderson, definitely worse than Gordon. He's a guy who plays hard though, so, who knows...problem is he's still too small and not good enough on defense to play the 5 in a small lineup, also not quick enough to play the 3. I'd say he's literally a younger, less talented but smarter Melo.
My guess is T. Harris and Elfrid Payton. Cod used to talk about Abel (the weeknd's real name) who has the same haircut as Elfrid.
I remember this about Payton, still don't know how he would fit here, he can't shoot, low iq, upside not really there anymore...this may sound bad but i'd throw what remains of our MLE to Hezonja instead of Payton, i think he fits better here and he has more upside left. Seems like the Nets will go after him though, and they should've more money available than us.
I mentioned this the other day. Having LeBron or PG is more of a luxury to this team. 65-win team that was a hamstring and whistles away from a championship. That was accomplished with an unplayable Ryno and Nene. Luckily, the Tuck wagon lineup was good enough to make up for the nene decline. But Ryno was supposed to be a huge part of the team’s success. Imagine if the Rockets added a player that could contribute what Ryno was supposed to. It’s clearer than ever before what’s needed. A big that can shoot and hold their own on defensive switches
Agree with this, even though, how many 4s who can: - play the 5 - play good defense - shoot the 3 well enough ...are out there?
Woj: LeBron's group had not come to Cleveland at all and say "Hey, are there some players you like on the Rockets are or players you like on another team that is capped out that we can start working a sign and trade?" That never happened. Houston is in a position now where they'll focus on their own free agents.
