Can we stop talking about Chris Bosh? Dude almost died, and will always know that he has a chance of dying on the court, thus preventing him from playing basketball at his highest level.
We would prolly need to attach 2 second rounders and a player. I'd be down for that, IDK if Raptors would.
As I type, I'm eating a Bit-O-Honey. Sometimes they are too hard, but this one was just right. Great aftertaste too. Makes me think of championships. Now, I'm prepared for the news whenever it comes.
https://www.washingtonpost.com/news...magic-johnson-says-so/?utm_term=.a4b1e50f4253 Bontemps states that in order to sweeten the pot for a Kawhi trade, LA is in talks with Denver to acquire a pick in exchange for taking back bad money The prevailing opinion around the NBA when the Oklahoma City Thunder were eliminated in the first round of the playoffs was that Paul George would be headed elsewhere — and likely the Lakers — as a free agent. But the prevailing opinion around the league now, in speaking with multiple teams over the past 48 hours, is that George is going to return to Oklahoma City this summer. It’s no coincidence that the Lakers have sped up their pursuit of a potential Kawhi Leonard trade, as ESPN reported Wednesday — knowing that, if they can’t land Leonard or George, the chances of getting LeBron James to come to Los Angeles by himself are remote at best. The question now is whether the Lakers even have enough to convince the San Antonio Spurs to send Leonard there. With San Antonio believed to be uninterested in Lonzo Ball, the Lakers have three other intriguing young players — Brandon Ingram, Kyle Kuzma and Josh Hart — plus their future first-round picks to include in a deal. In an attempt to sweeten the pot, multiple sources said the Lakers and Denver Nuggets are discussing a potential deal that would see Los Angeles take back bad money for a draft pick. The Nuggets, who will be deep into the luxury tax after re-signing restricted free agent center Nikola Jokic next month, have about $34 million in expiring contracts for Kenneth Faried, Darrell Arthur and Wilson Chandler to send out in possible deals. It’s reasonable to assume such a deal would only happen if it was necessary to get a Leonard trade over the finish line. There’s always a chance Ball could be moved elsewhere for other assets San Antonio may prefer, as well. Throughout all of this, the Lakers are working against the clock. James could potentially opt into his contract Friday — which, if he does, would all but eliminate the Lakers from getting him this summer. That means the Lakers need to figure something out soon to make the most compelling case to James next month — that is, assuming the talk about George staying in Oklahoma City is true.
This is true. Thibs wants to move Wiggins. And the target is Steven Adams. Thunder prefer Butler. But if George leaves..they might take Wiggins for Adams. Then try to get Capela or Cousins with Melo's contract.
I wouldn't totally sleep on that teams ability to win a championship. I mean you'd have two of the top 4 players IMO + PG13... 1 or 2 competent role players... even if the rest is filler it's pretty good.
I don't think they'd have any real chance to make it past the Rockets or Warriors, but they'd give the rest of the West hell.
half of this board wanted nothing to do with the okc trio when the playoffs started and wanted to avoid the matchup. Imagine what the reaction would be having to face that trio of Lebron, Kawhi, and pg13.
Yeah but that was really foolish of half of this board. I'm sure that same half would get scared by just about any matchup.
