Uconn and Navy ended my pursuit of perfection titles the last 2 seasons. A damn basketball school and a military school
Herman like to call this the rivalry game. I'd bet the over. This is a get the team right kinda game. Perfection would have been awesome but I never got my hopes up last year or this year. I thought UH would lose to Navy last year but UH lost the week before to UConn then surprised me by beating Navy. This year I had my doubts about Louisville after watching them vs Clemson but Navy has already smashed a L on the schedule. I'm still worried about Jackson when he comes here. The fact that last year UH still went to the NYD6 Peach Bowl to punk FSU and this season still has a decent chance of a NYD6 is more than exciting to me. I will be watching closely on Navy/Memphis.
Take it easy on the Ponies... poor Chad Morris, I wonder if he regrets not staying at Clemson another year or two to finish out with Watson. Might work out in his favor, if the coaching dominoes start to fall, I'm sure other schools will look at him as a possible replacement (*cough* Baylor *cough*) based on his offensive track record and deep ties to the Texas High Schools and coaches.
Since the LSU and UT rumors escalated a few weeks ago, this just hasn't been the same squad. Fool me once, shame on me. Fool me twice, and I'll give you the benefit of the doubt. Fool me three times, and my pattern alarm is screaming. Dunbar with a great TD catch to get UH in the game, but you can't trail in games where you are expected to win by multiple touchdowns this many weeks in a row. And that's ignoring the sluggish start and scoreless first quarter vs UCONN. Vegas isn't in the business of routinely overestimating or misjudging teams for this long. It wreaks of something internal and the context clues with Herman are uniformly pointing in the wrong direction.
