Only reason I don't want to see a rematch is because I think it would incredible unfair to LSU to have beat Bama again after beating them on the road. Not say they cannot do so. It would just wrong if they lose the MNC if they essentially split a season series. Now if Miles & Saban got together to add another game if Bama wins to make it a best of three, then that would be entirely fair. Only that third game should not be in New Orleans or Tuscaloosa. Put it in Jerry World or Indy or something.
Nah... LSU beat Bama in their stadium. Even if LSU loses to Bama in the title game LSU is still the superior team.
So LSU has to beat Bama twice to win the title but Bama only has to beat them once? So if Bama wins, they will win a title over a team that they split with even though LSU also beat more top ranked teams? WTF????
Bama doesn't deserve a rematch, but deserve's got nothing to do with it. They're the two best teams in the country, and that's how the BCS is set up.
So the system is set up to allow a team to win the title over a team that split with them, that beat more top opponents? How do you determine one is better when they split? How do you determine that the one with the worse overall resume is better when they split? If they are indeed the top two teams in the country then why does one have to beat the other twice to get crowned, but the other only has to win once?
A rematch is unfair to the other contenders. Alabama had its shot, in their home stadium, give someone else a chance.
