Supposedly Harden was the plan until we hired Udoka. Udoka preferred Van Vleet so the Rockets pivoted. We had already heard Stone say on record...
That he's terrible defensively, doesn't set picks, doesn't do any of the little things to win. And maybe also that Lopez was third in the DPOY...
Kelvin Cato has also entered the chat.
Have you seriously never heard of Fred Vanvleet? He's an NBA all-star and a key cog in a team that won a championship. What in the casual?
I think you're speaking too soon. We don't even know the structure of the deal yet, and the Rockets HAD to spend money to hit the salary floor....
Seeing that they might have to throw some second rounders at us to make that happen. That would be a cool bonus.
I'd be surprised, but it's not impossible. If one or more of the kids make a big leap or exceed expectations, and they add Lopez - maybe. I think...
I don't see it. As mentioned elsewhere, the Rockets once played Harden and CP3 together and it also insured they had an elite playmaker on the...
I don't know how to feel about this. I have always liked Fred Vanvleet. But 40 million a year for 3 years? Seems a bit excessive. I'm particularly...
Wow! More than 40 million a year! That third year surprises me. I wonder if we're going to end up finding out it's a team option?
We didn't get Kyrie AND Dallas overpaid him? I don't even need anything else to happen in free agency to be happy.
Hate that Jevon Carter is already off the board. If all else failed, would've liked him in the PG rotation here.
I like him too - but not for this team. We already have a lot of guys who want to score without playing defense.
DO SOMETHING STONE!
If Brooks is available on a value contract, I'm for it. I am concerned about his shot selection and the amount of shots he believes he's entitled...
Well, I can't speak for what others are able to do/say - but as a white guy I would never even consider using that term in that way.
But if we're talking making it to the playoffs, it helps if the guy we get plays more than 1/3rd of the games.
Respectfully, we don't even know who we're signing yet. We know the rumors. We don't know the plan. We don't know who will get benched vs who will...
Can they still trade him? Or is this like when they sign a free agent and there is a number of days or months or whatever before they become...
I'll take any of the free agents available over Kyrie.
