Awful job by the umpire. The Astros crapped the bed in this one, but that was still terrible.
If Dusty doesn't pinch hit Diaz in that spot, he should be fired tonight.
What good would that do? The so-called leaders of this team are the ones hitting, pitching, and managing like crap.
The pitching has been fine tonight. The Astros offense has been brutal.
That's what I don't get. If Dusty put in a pinch runner, ok. But Maldy is so damn slow that even a great bunt won't move him over.

Honestly. 3 runs in 5 innings for Javier against the Royals should be good enough. But we have 3 freaking hits and zero runs.
That's what happens when the offense doesn't show up.
The risk is that Texas or Seattle could dominate those 7 games in which they play each other. Hopefully they wind up going 4-3. I honestly think...

This is why you play Diaz. Yes, you're up 8-2. Imagine if you were up 10-2 though because you had a catcher who could actually hit.
I can't imagine the Rangers wouldn't at least try to play spoiler in those games. But it's not unthinkable that they might be out of it by then....
