i think the secret to stopping the cowboys offense is exposed. keep the cowboys in the short game. take away their downfield playmaking ability. the cowboys simply cannot run an effective short game offense at this point with any consistency. inevitably, they screw it up with penalties, ineffective plays/playcalling, lousy line blocking and protection, lousy mobility by romo with no threat of qb run (the opposite of vick), poor pass play decisions (throw to witten who is double-teamed), etc. . the cowboys are simply not good enough to work the short game for 80 yards down the field most of the time. they need that explosive play and they are not getting enough of it with any consistency from romo and the passing game.
