This may be something the BBS may or may not be interested in, but on a different message board I used to be on, a decent forum rule was a ban on threads about specific forum members. Seemed weird and censor-y at first, but I ended up appreciating it in a big way. These threads almost always become an unnecessary bash session (the thread ratings and mods usually take care of things just fine), just like the "Who's Your Favorite Poster" threads encourage a high school popularity mindset. Just tossing it out there.
I find those threads to be in bad form. Maybe I'm just waxing nostalgic, but I think in the bbs' younger days, we were better about discouraging one another from doing this.
This dude knows everything about the Rockets and Houston. If you bust out with some Larry Smith references or talk about Gallery Furniture or the Rock N Roll Express or Kamala at Sam Houston Coliseum , he'll get all of it!
*RASPBERRY* Fpppprrrrttt...!!!! That's the stupidest Idea I've Ever Heard... threads about Specific Posters... why I oughta... Heyyyy? What if we have threads about Specific Posters???
