I wish Bagwell had hit his 500th homer yesterday... I think that was supposed to happen, but someone screwed with the continuum and Biggio got his 3,000th hit instead. Jeff Bagwell and Frank Thomas were linked together...
One stupid shoulder away from a 500 home run guy and a 3000 hit guy. But oh well. "When the hall of fame calls and asks for some of your stuff, you are happy to oblige them."
Only thing sweeter would have been for Bagwell to hit that grand slam for his 500th...bringing Biggio in for a run as he did so many times throughout his career. Couldn't script a better ending than that.
Congratulations to Craig Biggio! I wasn't at the game last night, but I was watching on television and it was great to see him get hit #3,000.
