Astros win b2b home series first time since August last season (CLE-LAA). Those series featured Framber's no-no and Singleton's only HRs since rejoining the team. Verlander hadn't rejoined yet when Valdez made history. Astros had been swept 5x (ALCS) at home before the last b2b series victories and they had a 7-21 record (including playoffs) at MMP.
can't fault seth. he's pitched and asked to do more than he should be. plus his ERA was 0 until today's outing.
braves batters licking their chops. especially acuna. he doesn't have a single HR to start this season. i am genuinely worry for all 3 pitchers.
France and his 7.0 K/9 and 12.9 H/9 stuff should get completely shelled by Atl. Arrighetti and Brown have stuff that has a chance to compete, but not the command to capitalize on it. I hope I'm wrong like I was w/ Blanco and Javier. Hopefully the Astros can find a way to win 1 (or more) but the probables look dreadful. (Hey I guess I gotta keep the pessimism if they keep winning)
