Fasho The 3rd year leap creation is more so for players who did couple or more years in college so by their year 3 in NBA they would be taking off Its not the same for HS to NBA players, especially guards, thin rail at that....they usually take the full rookie deal to be that, which is usually 4th and beyond Which is why I don't get why some think his extension is based on what he did first two seasons His extension will be based on this current fluke/bust streak that some media pundits say is All NBA caliber month, inclusive with next season, they will pay him hoping he will be this consistent (65-75%, or more) version for the 4 yr upcoming deal
It's ok there's plenty of awful takes that are a few days old. If we lose tonight, expect to see more
Jalen is not a good shooter and he is a shooting guard. His job title is SHOOTING GUARD and he is a athletic, below average shooter.
Toxic Fanbase Rockets surpassed my expectations being around the .500 mark. Almost Double the win total. Too many Injuries to Core Players Derailed the Season. Tari Eason, Alperen Sengun, Cam Whitmore, Fred VanVleet (Imes Fault not playing Amen overplaying Fred), Amen Thompson, Steven Adams. All have missed Games, or Rookie Development no playing Time with Cam and Amen (Imes Fault). Ime Udoka having Zero Trust in Amen Thompson and Cam Whitmore in the beginning of the season really racked up those losses. Ime Udoka really needs to be held Accountable also.
They aren't going to end this experiment. As much as I've been ready to send the kid away, I don't think Stone is ready to admit defeat on his project. If they are going to continue this experiment, move JG to the 1. Let Amen start at the 3 as a point forward and let us go from there. I've been saying this for a while, he doesn't possess the length to continue as a 2 guard. As a 1 he will actually be right up there.
Toxic in what sense? The fact that he has 1 good month out of a season and no one expects the fan base to be pissed? You know what the difference between a role player and a superstar/upcoming star is? CONSISTENCY! A role player steps up every now and then. A Superstar Steps up all the time. They are Consistently good! Kobe Bryant wasn't just good for a month. He was good all season and steps up even more during the playoffs when the brightest lights shine. Jordan, Hakeem, Lebron, Curry amd so forth. Jalen Green has done well for 1 month out of the season and then continues to look like it's his rookie year. That reminds me of another player we had amd that was Jeremy Lin. So I'm happy Greensanity was good for some people. The majority of the fans expected an upcoming Superstar out of the 2nd pick and that means a player that can consistently perform at a highlevel. Especially at year 3!
Don't be discouraged by the loudest ones, 80% of the Rockets fan base and a higher proportion of the NBA fan base and media believe we have a guy we should definitely keep investing in that has a good chance of being an elite scorer in this league if nothing else.
he’s had a good chance to be a consistent scorer for 3 years, and the average NBA fan has an IQ of around 80. These are not reasons to invest further in him. I’m okay with him, but only if we pay for his production. If we pay him for his “potential” it will hamstring us.
To this date the best contract was the contract that was structured for Kevin Porter Junior. It was one of the fairest contract I have seen where you clearly could see that when he ****s up, his contract only pays him so much short term. However the common NBA Player would view that contract as an affront.....for sure.
i really don't understand all the hate for green. a couple months ago he was looking like a potential bust at #2. Even with what we have, we have a positive asset. We should be singing praises right now cuz we're absolutely stocked with assets and we cannot lose at this point. The cream will rise to the top and others will be traded.
Stone: Let's trade JG and all the picks for Bridges. Some of y'all: Yeah that sounds great! Do it! Ime: Silent... Just a Glare. Bahahahahahahaha!!!
It's because, at age 22 with only a single season under a coach who knows what's doing, Jalen is as good as he can ever possibly be. He has maxxed out his talent and will never improve from this point forward!
