Totally agree. I do not want to trade Sengun. But also I do not want Zion with us. I also would not trade green for Zion.
Sengun is younger, taller, more skilled, and has improved every season. Better rebounder. Good teammate.
Why are we acting like current Zion is some worldbeater? 22/5/5? That's who you would trade Sengun for, who is younger and averaging 21/9/5?
Did you forget about our 22 game winning streak? Yao was out for half of those wins. Surely that means we should've traded him the following season right?
He has nothing but god awful takes. He wanted the Texans to trade for Justin Fields last offseason. You could be a successful GM just by doing the opposite of everything he suggests.
Is Alperen better off back in Europe with supporters that appreciate him instead of being stuck in the US with jaded Rockets fans?
If I'm Fertitta, when the season ends I take Alpi, Jalen, Amen, and Ben Sullivan on a tour of the new training facility, then lock them all inside for the entire summer so they can work on their 3-point shots. Just shove food and drink through a window.
This absolutely deserves its own thread. It seems like most of the posters here are intent on judging these players as they are right now, without thinking about how young they are and how much growth we're still going to see now that we have a solid coaching staff.
No. However, playing without Sengun has helped unlock Green's confidence. I'm confident that Udoka will be able to balance both potential all-stars on the team to maximize both talents. We NEED Sengun to win playoff games. Exciting times for Rockets fans.
