I feel like March Madness has been the best/most entertaining sports playoffs for a while, in my opinion.
The basketball media and internet are having a field day dragging SEC CEO Sankey through the mud after they went 3-5 in the first round (losing to 9, 10, 11, 13 and 14 seeds) “We are giving away highly competitive opportunities [from power conferences] for automatic qualifiers [from smaller leagues], and I think that pressure is going to rise as we have more competitive basketball leagues at the top end because of (conference) expansion.”
what sport? my understanding is Taylor may be a Coog next year if you're talkin hoops...that it might be the worst kept secret in college hoops...you're prolly not talking hoops, though, right?
I’ll be 50 in May old af. There’s a solid chance they never win a natty in anything I care about before I’m dead. No one has ever done less with more.
I honestly love this because of the relegation component. I wish they'd make that a larger relegation pool, but the big money schools would never agree to it. It would reinvigorate some regional rivalries that this current round of realignment has killed. I'd love to see guaranteed "rivalry games", regardless of division, that could be scheduled outside of the super league. Let Rice play Texas and Navy play Notre Dame every now and then.
