There is no Singleton love, there is Singleton tolerance. I hope to never see him in an Astros uniform again.
I just picked up a half dozen and these are what I remember. It's on Twin City across from the Thomas Jefferson parking. These were crispier than what I remember so probably "better." But definitely the flavor. Vietnamese Egg Rolls! Thank you so much for helping identify them so I could find them after many years.
I disagree. I think it's finished. But I will always be grateful for his PA in 5th game of ALCS that helped get Altuve to the plate.
That's what they called them when they sold them. That's what I got when I ordered them. That's what I've remembered for over twenty years. Now I don't really care if it's like Tex-Mex or Americanized Chinese food if that's your point. I could not care less about the tradition if it tastes good.
I have no idea what he is talking about. I lived much of my life in Asia and have been to Vietnam many times ... Vietnamese egg roles are absolutely an authentic part of Vietnamese cuisine. Perhaps it is just the name he objects to - they are called Cha Gio in the South and Nem in the North (and in Europe incidentally), but they are traditional and authentic. And the wrapper contains egg, so the name is even accurate. Most importantly, they are delicious, as you say. Especially if you wrap them and fresh herbs in lettuce a dunk them in fish sauce.
No idea, but whatever he is arguing about … he is wrong. good lord, the regular season cannot get here soon enough. We have old white guys who have never been to Asia arguing about Vietnamese food, while talk show hosts debate the 26th player. Just a few more weeks….
Speaking of Clemente... https://www.hollywoodreporter.com/m...view-roberto-clemente-documentary-1235850682/ I'm very much looking forward to this
Yes, probably. Spring rolls are spring rolls. Fried "summer rolls" are different. Egg rolls are egg rolls. I'm fairly certain I was confusing things. I apologize to you, whoever you are.
