His shooting coach needs to be fired (if he has one). The release is ridiculously slow (we saw the glaring effect of that on one play last night) and the lack of a guide hand use on that pelican shot causes accuracy issues. He shoots like someone who picked up a basketball for the first time 1 week ago.
Who the **** is this guy? Media is full of People like this who knows zero about basketball but Tweets.
Heard that too. I thought it was his knee. Hope he’s okay completely but MUCH rather him have a hurt ankle than knee.
My guess is a nasty sprain that has him out the rest of the season. Also, I thought he said "My ankle broke", but I may have misheard.
https://ibb.co/xYrdbbf He rolled his ankle. It doesn't look like a knee injury but that roll looks so bad he must have ruptured something down there. That's a disgusting roll.
Season is now officially over. Losing Eason is still manageable with the rise of amen and Cam. Losing our franchise player not so much if lockdale is your back up
It's sad, it's very sad, because Alperen tried hard for 3 years, he wasn't a popular draft choice, he wasn't liked by Silas, sometimes his own fans didn't like him, but in the end, he did something good and this turned out to be bad. Guys like Jalen Green Jabari already came as stars, but Alperen tried hard to prove himself,
He was a very popular draft choice. He was polarizing after the draft but he was considered a good pickup at his draft position. Sengun will get a max contract. But, I'd be surprised if they offer it this offseason. I bet they do the same thing the Sixers are doing with Maxey. Wait until next offseason so they can use the cap space and while his cap hit is low and sign him to a max after all other moves are made. With RFAs there's really no risk.
Of course, he was a well-known player, but this team was going to be built around Green, Jabari, and even KPJ. 3 years ago, no one said let's build a team around Alperen.
