I still think it was a sarcastic / coping response. I’m sure he wanted to come here. IIRC he mouthed something in French that suggested my theory to he true
I thought if you admitted that Sengun is obviously the best player on the team you were a shill / SOF from Turkey? the term “SOF” was created by Greenies to try and create division
Sengun schooled Wemby all night long! Lol! It was a magnificent all round performance. Another good win for our Houston Rockets!
More than anything, Alperen had his squirrliness back on offense. He was feinting all over the place and defenders were dumbfounded. His moves looked quick and clean. The mid-range and three-ball need to be added to the every game bag. When things are going he becomes this strange hybrid player that almost reminds me of Charles Barkley mixed with some Dirk Nowitzki. Unstoppable.
Missed the game but what a great way to start the day. Looking forward to have lunch with my Spurs fan colleague. Thank you Alpi.
Dwight has a ring, more accolades, and is still playing (albeit in Taiwan) despite Yaos H2H advantage.
School was in today. For 2 minutes the Wemby crowd thought it was their night with 5 early points and an incredible block. And then basketball happened. What a seriously mature performance from Alpy!!
We better hope the Rockets build around Şengün properly then instead of relying on Rafer Alston as third option.
I was and still am wondering, why not more players abuse that. Before he got into the league a lot of pundits and ex-players were talking about him being pushed around when playing against grown NBA players. So far it doesn't seem like many people are pushing him around. I was expecting him to get more of the Kenny Lofton Jr. experience... glad that Sengun got to overpower him tonight.
I mean realistically that swap would still be in the Rockets' favor. A third-year player schooled a rook tonight, that is what is supposed to happen. It's not impossible Alpi could have the better career--he has defied expectations before and may do it again, not to mention the possibility of injuries hampering Wemby's career--but right now I think every front office would take Wemby.
True, they are pretty close in age. Wemby is closest in age with Amen among our players--both just turned 20. I wouldn't blame any Rockets fan for choosing Alpi, but I can still take a step back and look at it as I think the rest of the league would do.
