But Stone sucks because he didn't throw away assets for a player who wouldn't be here beyond the end of the season.
Guys like Landale and Bullock wouldnt be here beyond the end of the season either. Those are the kind of assets I wanted him to move.
Like I said in another post yesterday, Someone has to be willing to give you something in return for what you are willing to give away. What do you really expect to get for two dudes that just plain suck? Nothing and that's just what Stone got.
It's been stated multiple times that Stone did try to trade for a 6 who would play this season but that the two sides couldn't come to an agreement on compensation. What that means is that what Stone was offering (Bullock & Landale) wasn't enough to complete the deal. I'd rather keep that "other asset" (likely a 2nd round pick) than give it away for a dude that's not going to be here beyond the end of this season.
You are basically saying I consider these players as trash but I am mad that he didn't convince others to take then off our hands and give us not trash. I am sure stone wasn't turning down offers left and right for landale
Who got moved that would have helped this season? Would they have made us contenders? If the answer is no then the next question is would acquiring them be worth more than the opportunity to flip all of these guys and youngsters and draft capital for a shot at a real stud.
What happened to that dude? He really hasn't been missed. Or at least his condescension hasn't been missed.
Ricky Rubio left the NBA and the national team last year for mental health issues. All respect. He is better now, training with FC Barcelona, and will soon play with the national team again.
