It's getting closer to a 1a/1b situation. But they're in a class of their own for sure. I think Hakeem might have an edge just in terms of his overall stature in the sport; he's a top 10 guy in the NBA's history. Altuve's not at that level, but he might mean more to the city and he's the face of the most historically dominant sports team in Houston.
Wonder who made the decision to pinch hit for both pena and maldy? Baker sure wasnt around to make that call.
As much as I crap on Dusty, the last decision he made was to bring in his closer down 2, with 2 men on and nobody out in the 8th inning. And it wasn't a lose and you're done game. That's quite a monumental decision.
I think the Rangers are going to be "pressing" like crazy on Sunday. They want to "hit" back so bad they can taste it. When you do that, you make a lot of mistakes. They might make Valdez look like Sandy Koufax. Just saying.
If they do that they will likely suspend Abreu as well. In a championship series, I think they will leave it alone.
Another reason that makes this SO enjoyable, is all the Haters around the country watching this game thinking we're about to go down three games to two and then BAM, the one guy they HATE/DESPISE more than anyone else, does what he's done COUNTLESS times in the postseason freaking AGAIN. They HATE him because they know he's incredible and what these IDIOTS haven't figured out yet is he THRIVES on them booing him.
One thing Singleton did phenomenally today was understand his role. He was the first one charging out of the dugout when the benches cleared (least painful player the get ejected) and he didn’t bail out Lecrec by swinging, instead forcing him to throw him 3 strikes. Lite a fat one up tonight big guy, you earned it.
