Did they skip Javier in the rotation for a reason ? Also tired of Julks- maybe let Kessinger have a go at DH
If you have a DH that is batting 9th then you're doing something wrong...Dusty. I can't recall ever seeing a DH bat 9th.
They want to prevent Yordan from playing too many innings in LF...understandable. They also have another hitter in Diaz who happens to play catcher. It does create a bit of a DH conundrum. So naturally one of the days they chose to put Yordan in LF.....is with Corey Julks at DH and Diaz catching. Yesterday they had a GB pitcher and Diaz at DH, it would have been absolute common sense to play Yordan yesterday, and also put our superior defensive 2B on the field, and then give him today off if they wanted to rest Altuve/Yordan. It worked out because Framber is a beast, but jesus christ Dusty infuriates me with his lack of planning.
Thanks to the addition of JV and Urquidy coming back, we can now give starters an extra day of rest which they all so desperately need. I am all for giving Javier an extra rest day. I have dreams that one day it will be Brantley serving as DH on days Yordan plays LF and Diaz plays C. A man can dream can't he?
apparently he’s untouchable ! Teams inquired about him over the trade deadline and Dusty told them to back off .
Our pen was lockdown in the playoffs last year. Can anyone see this pen repeating that? I think it’s perhaps the main reason we won it all.
Yes, but we need our 6 man rotation to get into the 6th on average… that will rest arms like Maton,Abreu, ect.
This Bibee kid has put up terrific numbers his last seven starts. 5-0 with two no-decisions. One of his no-decisions he pitched 5 innings and gave up 1 run, in the other he pitched 6 innings and gave up 2.
