Wait till the day the Rockets opt to not swap for the 24th pick and stay with the 1st pick in the 2nd round.
Folks, the more we hit this button to get the Rockets into the top 4, the more we diminish our chances of actually doing so - its Baynes Theory.
Im bullish on Zaire. He had a tough year, had some personal stuff going on, but he has all the tools to be a pretty nice two way player - easy to see the PG13 comps some make. I'd take a flyer on him with one of the 20s picks if he's available.
It's inevitable. I'm convinced that TF would trade the 1st pick for another veteran eg Wiggins, Barnes or T.J. Warren and declare victory. Yuck!
Just for grins, let’s say the rockets get the no. 1 and Gs has number 4 via Minnesota. Would you do this: John Wall, 1st pick for Wiggins, Oubre via SnT and 4th pick? Get rid of wall get top 4 pick and a much improved Wiggins.
trade up or trade out to next season for a better draft class. we are kind of roster full of players should keep some room for taking on crappy contracts for teams trying to sign Leonard.
we were the worst team this season. I won't be satisfied unless we get top 2 seed in this year's lottery.
I would consider it after the 1st 3 picks are gone and if Mobley or Green are still there (doubtful). Not as sure Cade is generational and would much rather have Wiggins, Mobley or Green, Oubre or other filler than Cade and Wall.
I don't think Cade is generational, but I wouldn't go for Mobley. I don't think he is AD like, and I don't rate AD as a franchise player. Green might make me change my mind. I want to see better defense and awareness from him. Cade remains my number 1 choice , unless he has poor workouts.
Anyone else find it interesting how much better the pool of players from that 24th pick spot are than the players selected at 18 and 23? It's a good reminder not to sleep on late first rounders. All of our focus is on picks 1-4, but the Rockets could still strike gold in the 20s if they draft well.
I think he has some nice tools eg ball handling, shooting, shotblocking, with speed, size and coordination. He has a lot of tunnel vision, which isn't necessarily the same thing as a blackhole. His skills are very raw, he makes a lot of mistakes and needs to learn how to play basketball. Brown came out too early out of college. He is a tweener with explosiveness. I wouldn't consider him unless he shows improvement at the combine and a strong effort in his workouts. I'll give the edge to Ziarie Williams over him, if he is physically fit.
good thing morey is no longer in charge of the draft. he would have traded 3 first rounders for the rights of Fanbo Zeng
