How about an injection of some rational thought: there's nothing you or I can do to change the ownership. There are signs that the Fertitra era have been underwhelming, but anyone who keeps memeing the "lol Knicks" is just prematurely projecting their assumption of the future into the current situation. Again, you or I can't do anything to change ownership. If, in 2-3 years, the state of the franchise is horrific then cool, you were right to suspect Fertitta is "the worst owner in sports". Congrats(?) Until then how about a more constructive way of thinking? The whole "**** Tillman" brigade isn't productive. And for the record: I think Tillman is an ******* who has a history of treating his hospitality industry employees like assets (sound familiar?). Logically I'm willing to give the Fertitta clan some time to develop their franchise in their vision -- there's nothing else I can do. I hope it works out. If not, guess I'll pay less attention to basketball going forward.
This is exactly what scares the hell out of me and always has The bottom line is our ******* owner has too many other things going on with his interests that take away from my Rockets
Tilman is draining the swamp! Of course, that swamp got us to the playoffs the last 8 years, something no other team can claim.
I blame Les for selling to him. Tilman clearly couldn’t afford a team, especially one that’s trying to contend. No other Houston natives or guys who wouldn’t try to relocate the team in the future were available? I can’t recall any owner so fixated on luxury tax while the team was trying to contend. Maybe Robert Sarver? All these contending teams, their owners pay the tax with almost no hesitation. Cavs paid it no problem. Warriors did too. BK isn’t worried about the tax. Neither are the Lakers or Clippers. Even the Bucks are giving Jrue and Middleton big deals and mortgaging their future to contend with Giannis. We had Harden in his prime and 65 win team, and this dude is doing everything within his power to stay under the tax. It’s a joke.
Nah. Currently, and into the foreseeable future, the only enjoyment to be had from the Rockets will be dunking on ferntits.
going from 65 wins to a team that can lose 65 games in just 3 years is definitely “lol Knicks” caliber MDA, Morey, Russ (don’t care about this one), and Harden all leaving disgruntled and on bad terms in the span of a few months...Knicks caliber collapse now even Tad Brown is out Sterling Brown getting a case of the beats at a strip club at 7 in the morning...seems like something that would happen during the Isaiah Thomas Knicks era man, we even just got hacked we are becoming the Knicks of old
After a week or two "with the family" he'll be interviewing for FO job with solid franchises bet on it.
