I posted this yesterday in the GT. It was KNOWN he had a quad issue. To make it worse we were getting blown the f*ck out and the game meant little then why not sit his ass? I don't get what the idea was but many of us don't get what MDA is thinking.
Y'all throwing shade on Morey for trading CP3 for Russ and then calling it karma is really weird. Healthy people win championships. Morey isn't trying to build friendships.
im not sure his quad injury is any worse than it was before the game. you dont normally get an MRI to gauge the extent of a quad injury. I feel like Russ had discomfort , the MRI was dont to check for anything else, and they reported the quad injury we already knew about... at least thats my hopeful take. The extra game off might just be to do extra strength and conditioning around it and in the other leg to make sure you dont hurt anything by compensating.
Y'all really think we will make it out of first without westbrook? Lol We can barely score on Indiana, a team similar to okc, unless James plays all 48 minutes. Why the hell did he play yesterday if they knew this?
let me amend my previous statement. You can def get an MRI to check the extent of an injury, but i feel like it would have been reported differently ... like WB had an MRI on his quad revealing a grade x injury.
may be, but quad injuries are particularly troublesome for explosive players and quite often are indicative of other factors. In Westbrook's case I think we all agree he is not the same player without his athleticism, and I think yesterday was a sample of that. My very sad prediction is that he comes back and then the quad gives up CP3 style when he has to go Super Saiya
Not like Westbrook was ever healthy this year. He was even hurt in training camp from surgery, but THE single biggest thing people talked about when comparing Russ and CP3 was health. Especially for the playoffs. Paul has literally been in perfect condition health wise. Literally not on the injury report even once this year. WB’s done already. Absolutely abominable trade the second it was done. Too bad the NBA’s Trump owns this team.
