This only makes the refs put a bigger target on Rockets back. Just asking for another g7 to happen. NBA refs have the biggest ego and pride out of any sport, even baseball. They hold grudges and are basically a brotherhood that will have each other's backs if you call them out.
I have no idea why anyone would be confident that the league office would rectify anything for the Rockets....I donno.
I don't have faith that we'll get the right call. I hope, however, that we do--a replay would be nice since the dunk killed what little momentum we had. That said, as many posters have already noted, we shouldn't have been in a position to lose the game in the first place, so if we eat the L, then we deserve it. The season is long! If the team can rebound from this loss and tighten up (something we've been saying for years), I'll be fine with whatever happens.
Don’t forget the kicked ball they called in Clint Capela’s fingers and demar phantom foul. The officiating was just bad period. We still shouldn’t have loss the game.
People are already saying the Rockets are crying. Just like when the Rockets protested the foul calls in the semifinals. The Rockets are the most hated team in the NBA.
Just NBA things. Always had an issue with refs, so many people think games are rigged or the refs are corrupt and have a good right to since the whole Donaghy thing that the NBA NEVER addressed. That was their moment to bring Donaghy in, get him to implicate others, work with him and clean it up...instead they 'lone wolf'd' it and here we are. I don't think the refs are corrupt...well except for Brothers. Something is wrong with that dude. He's screwing teams every night no matter the game he calls he's clearly a horrible ref yet he gets all the playoff assignments too. No one likes this dude. This...this was just a mistake, should never happen, not sure how the refs didn't see it, I guess they just saw the ball pop up and thought it clanked off the rim.
