I can't believe this is the same Harris we had last year...he sucked so bad and has turned into the most dominant pitcher we have not named Cole or Verlander !
If there is a rain out, what is the best approach to the pitching lineup? I guess a lot rides on if Greinke wins the game. Do we level up and go Bullpen, Greinike, Verlander, Cole? Do we move up Greinke... then bull pen with Verlander/Cole at home? Is it Greinke, Verlander and bullpen for game 6 and Cole for 7? I feel we need to pitch Verlander with his best chance to win. You don’t want a scenario where Cole is pitching on short rest game 6 and bull pen game 7. Hinch likes to go with win now and don’t think about tomorrow. So if rain out, it will be Greinke, Verlander and hope we win one of those.
I think you have to go with Verlander in game 5 so he could possibly be available out of the pen for Game 7
Where are the up to the second accu-forecasts? Is the game canceled yet?? I bet they get it in... all that prognosticating for nothing.
https://www.wunderground.com/hourly/us/ny/new-york-city/10106 Looks to me like if they start at 9:00am, they have a chance for a whole game. Otherwise, not.
I’d say the top two are a wash, Greinke is better than Corbin or Sánchez, but the other is better than Urquidy/Bullpen. So across the whole rotation, I would say about even. In any case if the Astros make the WS, Washington is the one team they don’t have a clear starting pitching advantage. On the other hand it’s one of the few teams where the Astros would have a clear advantage in the bullpen.
Sooo....are we playing ball? or naw? Having the night off is ideal right? Give our guys an extra day of rest? (cole / verlander)
