    Rockets don’t have a Championship in the 2000’s because of injuries during their playoff runs (during the Yao/McGrady era). And the injury to Chris Paul.

    Also, because the NBA is an edited for TV production, which follows a narrative, and unless a team yanks the victory away with a beyond super human effort, the NBA thrives in its scripted novela.

    Hakeem and the Rockets overcame the script when they beat the Knicks.
