Some times there are just variables you can't account for. I hope it's not legit, but who knows at this point.
There are no moves out there for a star. There is a very limited number of stars that are in position to want to come to Houston in a sign and trade, and there are zero stars we can out right sign. Don’t hold your breath
Lol you think so? I hope you are right but I don’t believe it. This feels like Bosh all over again. Oh well..... moving on
This is the best thing to happen to Clutchfans today! People can log off because they know that Butler's not coming and all the shitters can fill up threads with "I told you so"s! Win win!
And if he ends up in the city he wants to play in and secure a long term mega-contract? Is he still a moron then?
I didn't think we would get Butler if he opted out. Just too many hurdles and it would indicate to me that Houston wasn't his priority. I thought Morey was being a bit sloppy with his instagram material. I do not expect Jimmy to be the surprise. I think Morey had to have known Jimmy wasn't coming by then. James has apparently been talking to him a lot. Unless Jimmy has led James on, then who knows.
to keep some perspective on this whole Jimmy B thing, he's not the only player or combination of players that can significantly improve the team. I think i read like 40% of the nba is a free agent this offseason. So if Morey is willing to swing deals to create space and do sign and trades, who knows what possibilities await us. Granted Butler fills a big need, but one could argue a guy like Al Horford fills an even bigger need. We have a starting caliber 3 on the roster already. His name is PJ Tucker; he's been playing out of position most of his time with Houston. Put a guy like Horford next to him; someone who can both space the court and play inside, that solves a real need. We have no legit 4's on this team. Not a single one.
if its true we dodged a bullet. After their S&T to get him theyll be the same sub 500 team. Go be a cool guy in miami bro.
Yeah I'm from Tomball originally ... If you want to grow up loving Houston then you need to do it from Katy or Sugarland or any place not named Tomball.
