@J.R. posted a nice summary from SI in the other thread. The Patriots haven’t denied an interview at this point. Instead their focus has been trying to get something in return. Writer from Boston Globe confirmed this on 610 an hour or so ago as well. https://www.si.com/nfl/2019/06/13/carson-wentz-eagles-contract-extension-howie-roseman
Rappaport confirming they requested other interviews at the same time which bolds well I would think.
i don't know if there is any truth to this allegation. and people better have a damn high bar before they start calling people racist. I think it's one of the worst things someone can say about someone else, so if you play the race card, it better be accurate. That said, i have been very disturbed by the lack of diversity in the Texans front office more recently. Everyone holds up Rick Smith, but one only needed to look at the Texans draft room to see the lack of diversity in the Texans front office this year. It's embarrassing. There should be no more white-man power clicks in today's NFL front offices. And when i look at the 5 guys who are heading the Texans GM search, there is not a single minority among them. Does anyone else think that's strange ...and unfortunate? IF the Texans don't recognize that it's strange, they better do some diversity sensitivity training. It's a huge problem with the Rockets too. Frankly it's embarrassing. You are talking about minority-dominated sports. The front offices need to be diverse. we need to do better.
Give them a 3rd in 2020, and a 5th in 2021. You will have an extra 3rd next year because of Free Agents lost.
Honestly I hate this idea. I'm fine with a 5th or worse, but I'm not really keen on giving up potential starting players in future drafts for a GM who wants to be here.
Aggregating here from Rappaport: Caserio wants to be here Texans are digging in and want to get him Rappaport expects Texans to offer pick and make it happen
Ben Volin: (Boston) Caserio wants the job. Will end up in Houston just a matter of time and whether Texans give up pick for him
@SportsRadio610: 'I think what's clear is Casserio wants this job and he wants out... The only ending I see is him ending up with the #Texans." - Ben Volin of the Boston Globe on ITL Sounds like an opinion rather than a sourced fact. Same with rapaport.
