Using Fangraphs heat maps, looks like he is throwing it less on the inner third to RHBs this year. Last year, he was more even. I wonder if it is because of tunneling. The frontdoor slider to a RHB is the only thing he would throw that starts up well inside. Anything else and he's risking HBPs. Throwing to the outside of the plate means he's starting on the inner third of the plate (or slightly inside) with the slider. Pitches starting on the inner third could be a fastball, slider, or curve.

That is wicked. It looks like it does straight down right at home plate. Only chance would be to move forward in the box.
I swear I saw it hit the plate on a couple of occasions. Maybe it was just me being young watching it on 360i analog but I swear I did see it.
