I didn’t think about this but I’m sure they rather have ariza over lance and Javale. Still coulda had rondo.
I think he'll be back with us eventually. He deserves that money! I just hope we can find a way to get him back for cheap whether by buyout or trading useless pieces on our team for him. He seems extremely competitive and I do not believe for one minute he would be happy just ending his regular season without the playoffs.
Shooting poorly? Probably has something to do with the arena. Color scheme. Lighting. I've heard from reliable basketball experts that these things can be a factor.
We cant trade for him with salary matching needed, unless we're giving away Gordon/Tucker which is dumb. We should be having our fingers crossed that nobody makes a trade for him and he gets bought out. I think someone will throw an asset their way.
Philly would likely do chandler+2nd NOP would likely do Solomon+2 2nds Portland would likely trade Turner+2 2nds Lakers would likely do KCP +2nd Just a few off the top of my head. There will be a market for an expiring 3nD wing. Especially so if Phoenix is willing to take on another year or even 2 of salary.
My guess is the Suns aren't taking back years on a deal. So cross off NOP and PDX. Suns will want and Expiring + Asset. Like the Philly deal you mentioned. Only way I see the Suns taking a 2yr deal is if a 1st is attached. And even then I am not so sure.
Is this implying the Suns might get something of value for him, since he's a potential nice veteran add for a contending team and an expiring contract?? Still made no sense to sign him... but at least if they get something of value, it kind of alleviates that mistake.
Three team deal where we give up Knight and a 1st round pick (required to offload Knight's salary obligation for next year).
Chandler and Fultz would be an interesting pair if they're ready to admit that they blew that pick. Maybe throw in Bender or Crawford for good measure.
Still an insane signing to me. What the hell were they thinking? My guess is he gets bought out and they get cap savings.
