I wonder when lebron know PG was a no. There may be some chess being played here (as much as I hate giving credit to OK). Up to near the end, a lot of people thought PG was a lock to LA. lebron passed on the opt in to give LA more time to work on a super team, bc they were his first choice. But had he known PG was staying and Kawhi might not be traded, then maybe he would have opted in. Now HOU is either off the table, or if it comes in it will be damaged by the apron - hard to keep Capela in a sign and trade. So 76ers may well be his next bet now if LA becomes a dumpster fire. But had PG revealed he was staying much earlier, Lebron MIGHT have changed his mind on the opt in and we could have kept CP, harden, lebron and Cap. I don’t see how we keep Capela now if we acquired lebron. I’m not sure I care at this point; I’d almost prefer to keep a similar team then have to dump everyone to get a sign and trade, if we lose Capela.
Yeah, Kawhi with the 76ers is a good fit. He knows the coach. And the skills he brings to the table would help the team. Could play off the other stars. I bet he gets comfortable and would stay.
Honestly at this point I just hope we sign Capela long term and just use what ever else we got for upgrades.
at the very least it will make the Lakers pay more. I can't believe after what happened with PG13 they will feel comfortamble waiting for Kawhi to be an UFA. Kawhi doesn't even want only the Lakers he's fine with the Clippers too. They have Jerry West to recruit, a better coach, aren't a circus and will have two max slots.
I feel like they’re withholding Fultz because they’re saying he’s making “drastic improvement” when his shot is probably still completely broken. Gotta make the Spurs feeling like they are winning the trade.
I agree w/much of this tho think Doc, as a coach, may well be past his prime. As for circus, why-oh-why did they not rebrand when Ballmer became their big baller???
Ariza gone. Rockets sign Gerald Green in LA? Lebron still might be coming..... maybe it’s just my love for this team.
The Rockets don't have any other choice. Capela may not be able to get a huge contract, and that will be good for Houston.
I get what you’re saying but I still don’t think Bazemore’s contract value is on Ryno’s level and I would bet the farm Atlanta doesn’t see it that low either. The sweeteners we have, let’s be honest, suck. They’re not sweet. If it involves contracts with only one year remaining it would make more sense; but with 2 more years Atlanta isn’t going to go “must get rid of Bazemore. Give us Ryno!”
