Interesting though as it feels like the Rockets have all the momentum, but I don't fault anyone for believing in the warriors when they're putting money on the line.
It has been a LOSS - WIN - LOSS - WIN - .... series so far. But like every game, it's anyone's best guess which versions of both teams will show up.
The betting line has no correlation whatsoever to predicted or probable outcome... it is simply designed to entice half the people to bet one side - and half the people to bet the other... ideally the casino wants the money split 50/50, so the casino pays the winners with the losers money - and just skims their juice off the top of the winnings... if the line moved from Rox being favored to GSW, it means money is coming in on GSW and they are trying to make the Rox side on the prop more enticing to get offsetting action...
We took a lot more free throws than GS last game and I was still pissed at the things they where calling. I know some of it is bias but they wouldn't even touch Curry and they where calling fouls.
Agree totally, however, if you see a line keep moving in one direction, it likely means the betting public along with some whales are leaning heavily one way or another. Vegas doesn't always get that 50/50 split of money coming in. Vegas has lost its butt a few times during the NFL season. However, it's not sustainable as the house always wins in the end, even in the form of 50/50 plus juice as you alluded to. For those that aren't following, 50/50 public betting is perfect for Vegas as it allows itself to pay the winners with the losers money only. If the underdog hits and it's 55/45 underdog tickets to pay out. The house has to pay out of it's own pockets whatever the difference is. The juice is typically 10% of any given losing bet, given to the house for placing the losing wager. This is how Vegas pays for all those lights.
yes, with the addition of Chris Paul, we're as elite as the 90's championships Rockets if.......... We win the championship THIS year
