When reached for comment, Texans owner Bob McNair said "cheerleaders suing me for paying them? That's like the whores running the brothel!"
McClain: Takeaways from Texans' OTAs 1. Quarterback Deshaun Watson looks like he's ready for a game 7 ½ months after undergoing knee surgery. 2. Backup quarterback Brandon Weeden has looked good with the first team in 11-on-11 drills. 3. It's not surprising to see receiver DeAndre Hopkins make one-handed catches. 4. Jadeveon Clowney is still recovering from arthroscopic knee surgery in January. 5. Romeo Crennel has the defensive coordinator duties again. 6. Speaking of Mathieu, teammates gravitate to him on the field. 7. Offensive tackles Julién Davenport (left) and Seantrel Henderson (right) have impressed the coaches during the OTAs. 8. With center Nick Martin rehabbing from ankle surgery – an injury he suffered Dec. 17 at Jacksonville – Zach Fulton is showing his versatility. 9. Second-year inside linebackers Zach Cunningham and Dylan Cole should help the defense even more than last season. 10. Receiver Sammie Coates Jr. is playing with his third team in four seasons.
Hopefully nothing wrong with Clowney. On the OL, this is the same stuff they were saying last year. Better to take a wait and see approach.
Is it even possible that the Texan's offensive line could be really good after a complete flip? Some of the new linemen are huge size wise. Like 6'7", 300 plus.
Lack of talent on the Texans line is concerning. I am sure Bob's offensive scheme will be similar to what we saw Deshaun do last year where it was full of play action and mis direction.
Oh boy...let him play this season under the current contract, franchise him next season and go from there.
NO. You structure the contract so you can get out from under it after 2 or 3 years (for a 5 year contract).
